So I bought a 2014 Acadia used with 60k miles. Paid 4k for the extended warranty and 5,000 miles outside of warranty....my nightmare began. Traction control off, service stabilitrak and reduced engine power intermittently for the last year. My car has been in the shop more months than I've had it. I've paid for multiple diagnostic fees, repairs that didn't fix the problem and thousands in rental car fees. Currently in a rental and going on week 7 in the dealership shop this time, with a recommended repair "as a start" of $1900.00. I just paid for a $600.00 repair that was supposed to fix these issues and 34 hours later, my vehicle is back at the dealership while I'm paying $400.00/week for a rental. GMC literally has the worst customer service on the planet and I still owe on this vehicle. For what I've shelled out in the last year in worthless "repairs" and rentals I could have paid it off. I have NEVER been so unhappy with a vehicle or customer service in my life! I will NEVER buy a GM product again!

2014 owner with 150,000 miles. Mostly wear items repaired/replaced. I even towed at max GCVWR with it for three years. I've literally beat the s**t out of it. Still ticking and running great — because I maintain it well.

I'll never understand why someone buys an older used car — with a note — and then proceeds to b***h when things go wrong. You have zero, I repeat, ZERO, clue how the previous owner(s) actually drove or maintained the vehicle.

I have maintained this vehicle very well and have NOT beat the sh*t out of it. I bought this back 2017 and my issues are not wear and tear problems. In fact there was even a class action lawsuit because so many of these vehicles have this problem. Poor design of the terminals from the research I've done. I'm still waiting on the airbag recall issue that has killed 7 people to be resolved as well. Glad you are enjoying your Acadia, I however am not. ✌

Have a '13 Denali currently at 227k+ miles. Replacement items are as follows: all 4 engine mounts, alternator control cable connector, both rear side proximity sensor modules and harness, transmission, water pump, BCM. Think that covers most of the majors. Over $7k in parts over time including general maintenance items.

Amazingly, I have a 2008 Trailblazer (dumped my 2012 Acadia - hand grenade), and the dash was lit up with Stabilitrak and ABS light, and Ebrake light. Turns out all it was is a Wheel speed sensor, about $20 bucks, after a test drive with the right diagnostics, but find someone that knows what they are doing and can make sure the air gap is .04.

Could it have been a flood vehicle with electrical gremlins showing up now?

Went almost 200,000 on my 2010 Traverse.
Bought a 2023 Traverse with the 3.6 V6....
As the 24s now have a 4 cyl.

Last year we bought a 2022 SLT. Not sure if it would meet our needs (Grand kids) and we really enjoyed it. Had the Turbo 4 cyl. was good for us! everything was perfect!
This year exactly at the one year mark we took the SLT back and got the 2023 Denali with the 3.6 V6. Again, we love it,runs and drives great, gets good fuel mileage, has room for what we need and is very comfortable!
I suggest selling your ride while used car prices are high and getting something you like!
Not getting much sympathy from Acadia owners on here!

Back to the original issue of electrical issues. I had the same issue with my '13 done time ago. The rear proximity modules located to the outer corners of the rear bumper cover caused my issue. The original modules have a known issue of corroding, along with the harness cable going to them. To compound the issue, those are tied directly to the functioning of the BCM module, which controls/reads all of the rest of the sensors not engine related. The module issue at the back end caused the BCM to go bad and I had to also replace that to resolve my issues.
