2014 Acadia Traction control off message, service traction control, and then engine is power is reduced. Has a P1682 code which is an ignition code. I have replaced the battery as cranking amps were low an low voltage can cause a lot of crazy issues. I replaced the throttle body with an ac delco oem throttle body from dealership. 135.00 thanks to my nephews discount.

I took vehicle to Mcarthy Chevrolet for diag. They diag brake pressure switch. I asked about igniition code and they wrote could not duplicate.

After replacing throttle body car ran fine for almost 3 weeks. Drove it from Cleveland to Kansas City no issues. Fuel mileage even increased about 3 mpg. The last 2 weeks car has died or reduced power at least 7 times.

I check connection no chaffed or broken wires. connection is secure and tight. I have not shot continuity on wiring. I cannot find schematic.

My mechanic and my nephew who is a GM technician does not believe it has anything to do with brake pressure sensor. I don't either simply bc it throws the P1682 code every time.

If you pull over and let it set for a minute it starts back up and runs fine. It dies at random times under all types of driving conditions from crusing on highway to stop and go traffic around town. It has happened while driving for 2 hours on freeway and literally 3 minutes from home not going over 35 mph.

This Acadia thus far has given me a lot of problems but this issue makes me want to never own another GMC .
Did you ever find out what the problem was? I have a 2014 SLE doing the exact same thing. Totally random, runs perfect then bam!, out of the blue. I shut it off for a while come back and it's fine until the next time it does it... no warning, no issues... just all of a sudden.

Did you ever get this resolved? This is exactly my issue as well.

Hello, did you ever get this resolved? I am having the same issue.

Hopefully this will help a few out there that have or get this problem. I too was getting the 3 warnings, Service Stabililink, Traction Control Off, and Engine Power Reduced. I took the Acadia, which is a 2012, down to Auto Zone to have the codes read which came back with the P0697 and C0242-00 codes, with a most likely solution of "Repair under dash wiring harness". I did the search on the 2 codes which was no help, and with the vague most likely repair solution, I did some research and found the throttle body replacement fix suggestion. So, I went and bought a throttle body and replaced it, and of course it didn't fix the problem like I had hoped. So I got under the dash and started checking wires and harnesses and came up empty there too.

I then started the car up and sat there just letting it idle while I tried to do more research. After about 5 or so minutes I turned the car off, and then back on again, and noticed that none of the warnings displayed on the dash. Needless to say I was happy and thought that maybe it just had to reset on the computer with the throttle body change. So i backed the car up and started to take it around the block just to test it, but when I started to go, all of the warnings came back up and the car ran like **** again. So back to the house I went. I did the same thing with starting it and letting it sit idling for about 5 minutes or so, turned it off, and then back on again, and once again the warnings were gone. I then turned the car off, and then just turned the key to the on position and saw no warning. Then I noticed that even with just the ignition in the on position that if I started to depress the gas peddle down, that when I got it about half way, the warnings would come back on. I did that same process a few more time just to see if it was consistent or random, and it was consistent. That led me to believe that it had to be in the accelerator peddle. Well come to find out, the accelerator peddle also has the throttle position sensor attached to it, all one unit known as an accelerator position sensor. So I went and bought an accelerator position sensor off of Amazon for a little over $50 and replaced it. Once I replaced it, I recalibrated it by turning the key to the on position and slowly pressing the peddle all the way down and bringing it back up 3 times. Turned the key off, and then started the car. Teh car is now running fine with no warnings coming up. Took down the road and drove it around for a few with no problems at all.

So hopefully this will help someone out before they are driven mad by replacing too many things or spending a small fortune at the auto shop for them to just replace a part at a time until they figure it out.

First of all, I would like to say thank you to everyone who posts in these forums. There is a wealth of information. Almost too much sometimes. Now, onto my question. My wife has a 2008 GMC Acadia with around 100k miles on it that we bought used 2 years ago. We haven't had an issue at all until last month when it threw an engine power reduction and StabiliTrak and traction off fault (P1516, P2135, and P0121). After researching these forums, I decided to clean the throttle body. After cleaning the throttle body, the car worked great for about a week, until this morning. Same symptoms. I looked at the throttle body and it was clean. Put it back together and it is working again. Could it be possible that the throttle body sensor is starting to go out and needs to be replaced? Is it possible to replace the sensor only, or is it part of the throttle body? Have others had this problem and replaced the throttle body and it worked?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a 2014 acadia awd. I have had the stabilitrak/traction control problems also. The dealer was happy to take my money twice and the problem not be fixed. I took it to our local mechanic and he replaced my coil packs and I had no problem. It stopped the misfires and lights coming on. You could try that. It was not that expensive.

I know this is an old post, but was having the same problems in my 2015 last week. A year ago my Acadia was running rough and when I messed with the fuse box it died I found that the 2 bolts that push the fuses into the wiring harness were loose. I tightened them as best I could and we were up and running again. Last week I went to start her up and instant misfires, with traction control warnings. I tried to tighten them but they just kept spinning. There are already 3 metal washers under this bolt from the manufacturer so definitely a bad design. I took the entire box out. Loosened the bolts and placed a 1/4 in rubber washer between the box and the last washer. I used rubber because I had to snip them in order to stretch them around the bolt. I also threw a couple 2 inch rubber washers under the wiring harness to help push up. I was able to get the bolts to seat well this time and luckily haven't had any issues since.

Good job of troubleshooting !

This has been an issue we have heard from time to time about the loose fuse box fasteners (bolts).

It looks like you may finally have found a good solution for yourself and others who might come upon this,

for a 2013 gmc acadia denali is it possible for the gas pedal to cause engine power reduced, stabilitrack and traction control to turn off?? the dealer thats selling the car is telling me that. i want to know if thats possible or its something else?!

Absolutely, Also a Brake Pedal Position sensor can affect it. Several conditions can affect it. It is really a software generated condition. Plenty of posts on earlier model years, they seemed to straighten them out in 2014-2015. Even a Brake Fluid not topped off can generate Stabilitrack message.

Ok I need help I have a 2011 GMC Acadia with engine power reduced an service traction control an stablitrak lights popping but I have a new throttle body an mass airflow and it was still pulling so I changed the starter which worked for a week. I woke one morning for work and the service traction control and stablitrak popped on but no reduced engine power was on my way to work ( in snowstorm) went off road. Was able to drive it home (no physical damage done that I could see) now my service traction control and stablitrak and reduced engine power stays on (motor at 222000 miles) and I don't know what it could be and I have no check engine light only the traction control light and I have no codes pop up..... If anyone knows what it could be plz lmk

The mod of drilling bigger holes in the PCV barb may help with the oil accumulation but I thought they corrected that by 2011. Is it a GM mass air flow sensor or aftermarket? OEM would be recommended and then the oil in the air intake can contaminate them so better to correct that condition first. Search PCV Mod. And make sure your brake fluid is topped off to the line.

This is the most promising response I have read this far. I am a 2014 GMC Acadia SLE owner . Just bought it actually and have same issue to every detĂ il that everyone has been explaining on this forum. I changed break pedal position sensor and a bay 1 cam shaft position sensor,..no luck and am beating my head off the wall at this current moment!. Thank you !

Did you ever resolve your issue? My 2014 is doing the exact same thing.
My 2013 Acadia is doing the same thing. Replaced ignition switch, TB, brake pedal sensor, battery, spark plugs, and recently all 4 motor mounts. I thought the mounts were causing jerking in the engine and transmission which was knocking fuse box. Well, now idk because it went limp mode again and no code popped up. It has happened under all driving conditions ans situations.
