I will explain my story and then show the picturea. I bought vehicle and very first thing I noticed is that the sound system was not working. Just the tweeters. By watching you tube, I found that there were some water in the door connections. So I dried those out by blown air. Then the next day I heard one out of the four work. So then I took it back to where I got it from and they figured out that the other three were shot. So they put in spare ones from other acadias. Well now all four worked. So im good for now so I thought. Again the speakers on the passenger side went out again. So i took matters in my own hands. I ordered a set of four innexpensive speakers from amazon but had great reviews. I also ordered trim removal tools. These make the job so easy to remove the door panel. After you get it loose from popping out the door fasteners, just unplug the cables connectors and lift the door up over the door lock. Then take needle nose pliars and take out the door safety cable by pressing its tabs so you can remove it out of its socket in the door. Then the work begins. I will just say each factory door Speaker adapter had to be doctored up so the new speakers fit. I took diagonal cutters and cut away all the plastic from the under side and made it all even so nothing gets in the way. then i had to razor blade out the paper speaker thats partly glued to the plastic housing bracket. Just a side note, if you get speakers that have horizintal connects, youll need to cut out a little bit more of the area so the plug and play harness fits fine without bending the soldering to much and break. Then based off what speakers you get, the outer mount may slight be a bit off compred to the factory door brackets. So what i did is took a drill bit and made the holes longer in the speaker mount holes so I could get good enough bite with the screws. Also, grab some 1-1/2 inch screws if you need to screw down the new speakers past the speaker mounting area. Not all aftermarket 6.5" speakers are an exact fit. Just be creative without destroying the factory bracket. Dont worry, the factory bracket works well with sharp metal screws and it gets very tight and sturdy once all screwed down. also note that the front and rear door factory brackets are not the same. Next I took out the plug and play wire harness I got from Amazon and it made hookup so simple a child can do it. Put all the speakers back in the doors, and tightend it all down. Then put all the doors panels back on in reverse order. You are done! Looks great and sounds so much better in the acadia now. If any questions please ask. Pictures are there to show what I described. There is more but the forum wont allow any more pictures. The process on each door is the same. I also tried to attach the video so you can hear the sounds results but the attachment button on here wont bring up my video in my picture library. Remember to watch youtube videos to help with door panel removal. Just so you know what to expect. Have a blessed day!

Thanks man. The speakers work great actually. I put the EQ in the radio on Jazz or Rock setting and it play every music station nice and full. Im telling ya, if you are looking for everyday music listening, these are great. If you are looking for powerful bass hitting door speakers, go for the Rockford Fostgate. Those I know are very powerful. These Pyle's are just fine and very loud as well. They are far better than the cheap factory paper cone speakers that were worn out. Any standard speaker otherwise is a upgrade of the cheap factory ones that were in there.
