Ok I've done a couple searches and still can't find the answer I want. Yesterday the Service Tire Monitor System. Today I noticed that my LEFT front tire (see pic) does NOT show a psi.

Can someone give me an easy answer? Does this sound like a dead battery in tires TPMS or should I try the RELEARN TIRE POSITIONS and see if that works?

1) Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Apply parking brake. 2) Press the “INFO” button on the DIC, until the “RELEARN TIRE POSITIONS” message display on the DIC. Then press the “SET/RESET” button on the DIC, until a double horn chirp will sound, and the DIC displays “TIRE LEARNING ACTIVE”.

Thanks

Best guess is the battery in the LF TPMS has died. It might be time to think about changing all 4 TPMS sensors if they are original to the car, assuming you still have the 2012.

Well the warning light came on today. I pulled into the local tire shop and told my buddy who runs it about the TPMS issue. He pulled it in, came back out 25 minutes later and said "you're good to go." I said "huh?" He said "I put in a freshly used monitor and you're all set, no charge."

Good to have friends like that. Think I'll send them pizza on Monday for lunch.

How long did the replacement last? You said they put in a freshly used sensor. Most likely another customer had the same problem and replaced all 4 and not just the 1 not getting a signal. If so there was probably not much life left in the one they put in. Same with the rest of the others in the other 3 tires. If one is losing battery power the rest are likely not far behind.

Got any friends in the tire business like h2osho does?

Easiest way to determine the problem is to first rotate the tires and see if the error message moves with the suspect tire. Then replace the sensor/battery iff necessary.
TPMS positions must be 'relearned' after the rotation in order for that to happen. Otherwise, the error will show in the same place as prior to the rotation.

I love had this issue for over a year. We had GMC replace the TPMS only to get the same error a couple days later. My husband had Midas repair it and that lasted a couple of days. Then he had Goodyear look at it and repair and again, the light is back on. Clearly it’s not an issue of getting the sensors replaced. What else could it be? We’ve had them replaced THREE times now

It could be something with the TPMC receiver, or even interference from some other electronic device.

If you have any add on devices, plug in USB devices, etc. . try removing them from the vehicle. Anything not stock could cause interference.
