Rear wheel negative camber questions

I have a 2009 Acadia SLT2 with 255/16 19" rims. I was driving behind my wife while she was driving the Acadia and noticed that the top of the tires were leaning inward (negative camber) pretty significantly. After inspecting the tires I discovered a drastic amount of wear. FYI, I rotate the tires every 10k miles.

My questions are:

1. What can cause the negative camber? Worn out springs? Alignment?

2. Can the camber be adjusted? If so, how?

Those are two possibilities. Could also be broken springs, worn control arm bushings, or something bent from abuse. A good rear suspension inspection is recommended.

It would be wise to do this on an alignment rack, You might need some special tools to adjust any adjustable rear suspension components.
