Programing the universal remote.

Let me set up the parameters on this.....
1) my Vette has a home link and it's successfully programed
2) it's a two car garage with a Craftsman opener
3) it does have a functioning outside coded opening pad
4) it had the fully functioning standard next to the door button
5) hand held remotes have long since gone away (who knows where?)

The problem is how do I link the home link remote without a hand held unit or without doing the "learn button" on the head unit and wiping out the Vette's programing?

Ideas? ???

I have 3 cars, 3 garage doors and did each individually with the "learn button" & didn't lose anything. Also the Acadia and the outside pad have been programmed to open all 3. Should work for you unless its a problem specific to Craftsman openers.

Thanks BO. Was able to resolve all issues just had to find that on hand held remote that I didn't think even existed any longer. All is well, the world (at least Ken's world) is now at peace. :facepalm:
