I have had my car into be serviced several times now and I got to thinking that it has become a royal PITA. They are friendly however, I am just wondering a few things.
Is it GM policy that they don't give out loaner cars? I have to wait for a shuttle if I don't have a ride and for me today it was 45min before the shuttle came back from taking the last person.
Does it always take 3-5 days to order a part, even if it seems like the part should be in stock? I had to have a transmission axle seal replaced (minor tranny leak) I was told to come back in 3-5 days when the part was in. This will be the 3rd time to the service station that is 20minutes from my house for just getting the repair done. Not to mention if I have to go back because they screw it up. 1st - diag, 2nd - diag #2, 3 - hopefully a repair done right.
Finally, Diamond GMC has two locations, one is 5minutes from my house, the other is 20min. They told me I have to go to the furthest one because that is where all warranty work had to be completed. Although I have had work completed at the closer location as well.
So I guess I feel like I am getting some crappy service from my GMC dealer and they are not all that concerned about me. I am just wondering if this is pretty standard. Like I said, the service writers are friendly, however, I also feel like they will say anything to shut me up and get me out of the office without complaining.
My Service Location: Diamond Pontiac, GMC, Cadillac etc. - Auburn, MA. :-\
