Just realized courtesy light in passenger footwell will not go out. I think this could have led to battery failure last year ?
I know how to operate the lights, but no matter what I do, or time of day, passenger footwell stays on.
Have also noticed that drivers side footwell dims , but stays slightly on.
Only way you can see that one is to crawl under dash, and led(?) is very dim , but still on. Any suggestions ? Thanks,

Which trim level Acadia do you have?

Are the footwell light original or added afterwards?

It sounds like it could also be a BCM problem or if someone replaced an original LED bulb with an aftermarket one.

The BCM usually needs to "see" a certain resistance load on the lighting circuits or the BCM will not shut down completely and allow slight current flow.

How do you crawl under dash after doors are closed and shut down has happened without opening a door? As soon as you open a door they go on, no?
I think the only feasible way is to wait and look thru the window, or be in the car after...

I have SLE2.
For Grant…… as I said, at night from outside, after car has been locked for several hours, footwell light still on.
I’ve turned courtesy light switch off at top of windshield , but footwell light still will not go out.
Ok . . But what about - - -

Then it may be a BCM problem or one of the factory LEDs is faulty and keeping the BCM light circuit powered on.
You could try finding and disconnecting the passenger side lights and see if the driver side then goes completely off after dimming.
Then try the same with the Driver side while leaving the passenger side connected.
