I did a search and saw many similar topics but no one asking this specific question.
So long story short I made the mistake of believing the salesman knew what he was talking about. I specifically asked during the test drive if the radio would support Pandora over Bluetooth and after I purchased I found out the SLE-1 model does not. For my troubles the dealer offered me a $50 gift certificate for a restaurant of my choice. Big whoop.

From my understanding A2DP is simply a Bluetooth firmware profile whose only hardware dependency is a fast enough processor. Does anyone know if there is a firmware update that will enable A2DP over Bluetooth on the SLE-1 radio or does it require a whole new radio? If it requires a new radio does anyone know the GM part number? I can only locate the navigation radio at close to $1100 and I’m only really interested in intellilink.

I'm in a similar situation. Ever have any luck with this?

There was an owner on the Travers forums that added the new Intellilink radio to his non-Intellink equipped car. He said it was basically a plug and play exchange, and all new functions worked along with the steering wheel controls, etc. The radio had to be programmed to his vehicle VIN, which the seller of the radio did when he purchased the radio.

Here is the link to the Traverse board where he posted his upgrade modification.

Not sure if this will also help any. Over on the Equinox board owner's have swapped out the PDIM module and were able to add Bluetooth and I believe the A2DP function. I realize this is a different chassis line with different electronics, but it might be another avenue to help you out.

Here is the link to the Terrain/Equinox board with the topic being the PDIM module.

Awesome! The info on that page sounds like the swap should be pretty simple. I think I'll give it a go. Thank you!
Stop back and let us know if you did the swap, and how it went. Hopefully it will be just as easy for you as it was in the original post.
