This cable was in my glovebox, anybody know what it's for?

That is your trailering cable, if you have a trailer with a connector that doesn't match your Acadia you can use this cable to modify your trailer so they match.

Yes, it connects the doomaflotchy to the thingamawhopper..

Are you sure? This doesn't match any trailering connector I've ever seen, and certainly won't plug in to the round 9 pin connector that comes with the trailering package.

there's already a thread in towing , I believe, talking about the cable.
I was told it goes under the dash and is a connection for yur trailor brakes.

It looks to me like its the cable to connect an electric brake controller

That makes sense - thanks for the responses!

This is the 4th GMC I've owned with a trailering package, and the first one that I didn't have to wire my own receptacle for the trailer connection - nice touch!
