I've noticed that there is quite a bit of fluctuation on my battery monitor on the dash. I'm not quite sure where the "ideal" level is, but I'm assuming right in the middle. I've noticed that mine tends to run higher (about 3 or 4 lines above "13")

Anyone have any advice? Is this something I should worry about?

Thanks!

I think that is normal. From what I have heard, the 12 volts systems in autos actually run at 13.8 or so. I think you are ok, can anyone else confirm?

Standard batteries generate 2.1 volts per cell and have 6 cells which equals 12.6 Volts.

The alternator and voltage regulator should charge between 13.8 and 14.2 volts.

From the Owners manual page 221:
When the engine is running, this gage shows the condition of the charging system. The vehicle’s
charging system regulates voltage based on the state of charge of the battery. The voltmeter
may fluctuate. This is normal. Readings between the low and high warning zones indicate the
normal operating range.

From owners manaual page 245:
The normal battery voltage range is 1.5 to 15.5 volts

Hope this helps.

002, thanks so much! I tried to find this in the manual, but didn't know exactly where to look. Anyway, thanks for easing my mind!
