What in your opinion should be included in a car emergency kit for an Acadia that makes many multi-day road trips in the winter? My self-made kit includes the following:

(1) bottled water
(2) jumper cables
(3) box-cutter knife
(4) two long-burning candles
(5) blanket
(6) gloves
(7) scissors
(8) duct tape
(9) non-perishable food
(10) folding knife
(11) can opener
(12) paper plates and plastics cups, forks, knives, spoons
(13) hammer
(14) wire and lock cutter
(15) seat-belt cutter and glass-breaker
(16) multiples LED flashlights
(17) butane-powered lighters (should I get old-fashioned matches?)
(18) OnStar subscription

Should I get an air compressor or the flat-tire repair spray can?

Do I need a screwdriver, Alan wrenches, pliers, vise-grips? Do I need a socket wrench with multiple sockets?

You could eliminate a few things on the list if you carried a Leatherman (or similar) multi-tool.
What about first aid kit? shovel? tow strap? Colt 45 (6-pack or quart - LOL)?

Pretty good list I'd say.
Bag of sand or something to help you in a slippery spot.
Extra warm clothes, butane heater (?), I'd pluralize #5

Great suggestions re first aid kid (available at Costco) as well as shovel and tow Strap. Cannot drink alcohol due to blood pressure.

Yes, one in the glove compartment, one in the central console up front, one in the drawer of The console for the second row, and one for the third row.
One flashlight is all you need, unless you're hauling a troop of scouts and going out for a 'snipe hunt.' 🤣

Road flares (or safety triangles) and reflective clothing would help.
