Got a used 2007 GMC Acadia a fortnight ago and now it is stuck in 1st gear for most of the time but occasionally it changes gears after turning the car off/on. It has only clocked 62000 miles. I am able to go into reverse but there is a 1-2 second delay for the engagement in both D and R. Also when I put it in L, the display still shows as D. What could be the problem and also can I fit a 2011 or 2015 transmission unit onto a 2007 Acadia? Please help.
