I just bought my 2010 Acadia three weeks ago used from a used car dealer. I like this car but now I am reading about problems on here and have also experienced a couple of them already. The car has 95,000 miles. First a coolant leak. I looked where it was coming from and I found it coming from the waterpump. I took it in to my local dealer on a weekend because my wife needs it during the week. They diagnosed it and said its a water neck above the waterpump. It very well could be. It is so tight of a fit maybe i didn't see it right. Anyway they said they have to order the part. I brought it back the following friday and dropped it off so they can have it Saturday. They call me Saturday morning and tell me that they ordered the wrong part. So now i have to do this all over again next weekend! Now my wife tells me that she feels it slip between shifting from 2nd to 3rd. I can't believe it. I start thinking did i make a huge mistake buying an acadia? So i drove the acadia and felt it hesitate/slip between 2nd to 3rd maybe 3 or 4 times during a 30 minute drive. So sorry for all the venting, but my question is do any of you waveplate victims have any advice of symptoms to look for and was slipping or hesitation one of them? Also, after your first symptom, how long did it take to have symptoms severe enough for the dealer to diagnose? Thank you to anyone with advice.
