Due to the age of the SUV, engine mounts are a must to change first.
Of the 4 mounts on this vehicle, I would start with the front mount ($35.00 on e-bay),
and then the Trans. mount Trans mount has a brace or metal mount to the front side (left),
that the rubber mount fits into. To complete the Trans mount change, you will need to loosen
the Support cage at the front and rear of the engine, and use a metal rod or bar as a lever, to gain
enough height, so as to complete the change of the mount.
So I decided to buy an acadia 2 months ago has about 85k miles. My wife was driving it started making weird noise continued to drive about a half mile and it got worse she pulled over opened the hood and said the engine was shaking. She shut it down. I showed up car would barely crank like it...
No matter how long I let battery charge or jump starting I cant ever get more then a super slow crank.
Could this be bad starter? I installed a new battery, what should I look for? Maybe pull off starter and have it tested? Any help will be greatly appreciated
1.The problem only seems to happen when the ac is on but has happened without the ac on.
When pulling into a drive or coming up on a stop light engine will shut off then start right back up, here lately if it dies when the ac is on it will sometimes give me trouble starting unless i shut the ac...
