I have an '08 AWD Acadia with just over 1000 miles on it. I've noticed a noise which I don't know how to describe except that it sounds like the transmission is having a hard time shifting. I've never noticed this with my last two SUVs -- Yukon and Sequoia.

Anyone else noticing this noise? Is it normal or should I take it in to the dealer? I like the car other than this issue. I really thought I wouldn't be dealing with noises on this type of vehicle. I have a 36 month lease on this Acadia and I'm dreading what this will sound like in another year. I really expected a smooth-running vehicle.

Also, if I do need to get out of my lease, how would I go about doing this if there really is a major problem with the vehicle?

Anyone else hearing the noise?? I've read other threads here where it sounds like the transmission is searching for gears -- I guess that would be the way to describe the noise I'm hearing. Is it more of a cold weather issue?
