Is this fairly easy to change out? Or would I be better off trying to use adhesive to hold it in somehow? It freely moves off and on so sometimes the gear shifter is inoperative until I throw it back on. Thanks in advance

Looks like it would be fairly easy to change out.

A common problem on some other GM vehicles as well. The parts wear with age.
Do a search here and on the Traverse forum and general website or Youtube search.
