1 year 3 month old 2008 SLT-2 losing stitching on passenger seat. Funny that it is not even where people sit. It is on the backside of the seat behind the shoulder area.

They are replacing (warranty) the leather "seat cover skin", but I thought it might be easier to replace the whole seat. ???

Anyone have that??

It is easy to replace the cover and much cheaper than swapping the seat.

GAR, let's say 'cost-effective' instead of "cheaper." Can you imagine fully replacing a 6-way electric seat with the correct covering instead of just re-covering what's already there and still functional? Now THAT would bankrupt any car company!

alvam,
As GAR said it is much easier and more cost effective to replace the cover. There is no actuall apolstry done it's as "simple" as taking a shirt off and putting a new one on. I would say it should take no more than 1-2 hours from them to do. They replaced both leathers on my drivers seat in about 2 hours.
