Here's what I've come up with for Recalls / Customer Satisfaction Campaigns / Special Policies to date (updated through May 2, 2017[/color]). Please be aware that these items may not necessarily apply to every vehicle within these VIN breakpoints. Check with your dealer to be sure if these apply to you. I can check in GMVIS to see if these are listed for anyone's vehicle if you want to PM me the last 8 digits of your VIN#, but your dealer will be the final source for information.

Dealers are to replace the 3rd /5th / reverse clutch plate. The repairs will be made at no charge to the customer. For vehicles covered by Vehicle Service Contracts, all eligible claims with repair orders on or after March 2, 2015 are covered by this special coverage and must be submitted using the labor operation codes provided with this bulletin. Claims with repair orders prior to March 2, 2015 must be submitted to the Service Contract provider.

#14823: Special Coverage Adjustment - Daytime Running Lamp Inoperative - (May 12, 2015)
Models: 2007-2012 GMC Acadia Equipped with High-intensity Discharge Headlamps (RPO TVD) Heat generated by the daytime running lamp (DRL) may deform the bulb gasket. This condition could result in the loss of DRL function and cause damage to the headlamp assembly. Dealers are to inspect the headlamp for damage and replace the headlamp assembly as necessary. Models: 2007-2012 GMC Acadia Built Prior to March 1, 2012 and Equipped with Power Lift Gate (TB5 or E61) These vehicles may have a condition in which the gas struts that hold the lift gate up may prematurely wear. These vehicles have a Prop Rod Recovery system intended to accomplish a controlled, slow return of the lift gate to the closed position if the lift gate’s gas struts are no longer capable of supporting the weight of the lift gate. However, in some cases, the lift gate’s Prop Rod Recovery system software may be unable to detect/stop a lift gate with prematurely worn gas struts from falling too quickly after the lift gate is opened. If the open lift gate unexpectedly falls, it may strike a person, increasing the risk of injury. Dealers will reprogram the Accessory and Lift Gate Control Module with a new software calibration intended to mitigate the condition. Additionally, after reprogramming the vehicle, dealers will verify power lift gate operation. If this functionality check reveals that the reprogramming was ineffective because one or both lift gate gas struts are no longer capable of supporting the weight of the lift gate, dealers are to replace both struts.

This special coverage covers the condition described above for a period of 10 years or 150,000 miles (240,000 km), whichever occurs first, from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service, regardless of ownership.

#14515B: Product Safety - Chassis Electronic Control Module Internal Contamination - (Feb 2, 2015)
2009-2014 GMC Acadia. Some of these vehicles were built or serviced with contamination within the chassis electronic module. This contamination can cause an electrical short in the module. If the module experiences an electrical short, the vehicle could display a check engine light, stall, or fail to start. If the vehicle is equipped with a trailer brake, the vehicle could lose trailer brake function and display a “Service Trailer Brake System” indicator. If the vehicle experiences this condition and stalls while in motion, there could be an increased risk of a vehicle crash. Dealers are to replace the chassis electronic module on all affected vehicles.

For headlamps without damage, dealers are to install a new gasket and reinforcement plate between the socket and the reflector. This special coverage covers the condition described above for a period of 10 years or 120,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service, regardless of ownership.

#14582A: Special Coverage Adjustment - Throttle Body - Reduced Power Mode - (Oct 7, 2015)
2009-2011 GMC Acadia - The throttle-position sensor may cause the engine to run rough, cause the malfunction-indicator lamp and/or an engine reduced power message to illuminate, and reduce the engine’s power. Dealers are to replace the throttle body assembly and gasket for Bosch equipped vehicles, or to install the throttle position sensor kit for Hitachi equipped vehicles. This special coverage covers the condition described above for a period of 10 years or 120,000 miles (193,000 km), whichever occurs first, from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service, regardless of ownership.

#15240: Product Safety - Power Lift Gate Prop Rod Recovery - (Nov 10, 2015)
