Definitely a loose heat shield. It was barely hanging on. Thanks for the help! It’s fixed and no rattle.

My bad I should've mentioned that I get Lucas products for free. But your right I should stop using Lucas since this is my first problem with 110,000 miles that for the tip. But fixed it already, all it needed was a new tampon your box rattling stopped immediately..thanks good looking out. I remember to ask you first for next problem👍

I have a 2013 GMC Acadia and I’ve had nothing but problems with the rattling noise I’ve changed the front motor mount already have the back one in my car I’ve got to take it to the shop and have it done I’ve had a rebuilt transmission rebuilt motor and still I have it. What are your suggestions?

You had a full engine and transmission rebuild, plus changed out motor mounts to get rid of a rattle? My suggestion is to find another mechanic shop. Seriously.

Where does the rattle in your Acadia seem to come from?

I drove it today fully warmed up and didn’t hear the rattle once so I think it may be the heat shield after some research. I’m going to take a look underneath and see if it looks loose or damaged

timing chain I would hear just about every time, correct?

Mostly on cold starts. I had a 14 Infiniti QX60 that never did it in warm regular starts but every cold start it was a decent rattle. Timing chains were def stretched cause a few times I’d got the horrible whine noise when cold and a decent amount of throttle applied to see if it would do it. It did whine here and there.
