Hello everyone,
I have a 2011 Acadia Denali with the Bose stereo system in it and am having popping noises come through the speakers. The radio doesn't even have to be on. Seems like other people have had this issue but I haven't seen anyone post exactly what is causing it. It's driving me nuts! Anyone out there that could give me an idea to where to start.
Thanks

Best place to start is cleaning connectors and making sure they're seated properly. Don't know if the amp has a continuous supply of power to it - maybe someone else can clue you in on that. It doesn't make sense that the speakers would 'pop' with the radio off.

I have checked the Connections and also it doesn't seem to be damp at all. I'm truly stumped on this one.
Of course dealer has never heard of this but if you google It, others have had this same issue but no one has ever said what it took to fix the problem. I appreciate everyone's help!

Most of the issues I read involved popping sounds when turning the radio on/off, or when switching sources. None of them (that I recall) said anything about popping noises when the radio is off.

New problem.... Radio has shut off and reset all functions including clock. Can't wait to see what happens next!

I had this same issue with my 08 acadia with the Bose sound system. Popping/ cracking in all speakers when ever any thing played over the speakers (radio, DVD, turn signals, or chimes). I talked with 2 different dealers and a car audio specialist and none of them had any idea. After many hours of troubleshooting decided to replace the amp because I know that they had a tendency to fail, but usually when they did people would loss all sound but what the heck... After replacing the amp EVERYTHING is working beautifully, no more unwanted sounds. I got my amp on Amazon for $220. Just keep in mind that there is a cheaper one on there that looks the same but it will not work if you have the Bose 8 speaker with sub. The amp is a pain in the rear to change but is possible. Good luck.

Have you checked all your grounds? Usually in stereos popping noises is ground loops. I’m not entirely sure where they all are on the Acadia as I’m new to these for about a week now. I’m sure a schematic is available though

I am currently having the popping problem and was wondering what was the brand of amp you bought on amazon and how did you know which one to get

The post you quoted suggests the amp was replaced with another Acadia Bose amp. It was just purchased through a discount supplier.
