just signed up , switching from my older ford explorer ( where ive been a part of their great, helpful explorer forum site)- to my 2013 acadia denali, that ive had for 2 weeks.....lookin forward to checking this site out! so far, thoroughly impressed 👌
ive already had a run in with my acadia that took 6 days to solve ! my key fob stopped working, so i unlocked the door with my key...it started those few softer beep horns, then went into loud alarm horn & went into theft lock mode....(gmc dealership told me to push in brake & start should fix but it didnt).....everytime i tried to start it, it went off & wouldnt even try to turn over, nothing! unhooked battery for night, jumped in the morning and it started ....key fob worked/unlocked and locked doirs also ....later that day, it repeated ...key fob not work..i went d bought new battery for the key fob just covering my basis, but of course that did nothing ....so i had to try, and i unlocked door with key again & same **** alarm , theft mode...shocker huh?!
car place sent out lock smith thinking the key fob was the prob, but he hooked up a thing to read the voltage on battery & said battery is the problem - towed to car lot, new battery placed, fixed ......perfect! car place kept it 3 days extra bc the top of windshield wasnt sealed & my cup holders were like full of water, and my dash was all wet from the rain....the windshield ppl had to come to car lot & seal it properly...everything is great, except now the only looming issue is this **** AC!! the light flashes 3 times then goes off, and it doesnt blow cold (been like that since i got it)...the car place said they charged the AC before i bought it, so they added freon coolant(they said freon was empty) while they had it for battery & windshield saying it was ok now....however , the next day when i tried it , its the same thing...3 flashes & nothing...ive read a bit online & sounds like a common prob on gmc's & acadias....anything from vavles, to a leak in line, to compressor but i think the majority say its a temp sensor thats the problem - something with the climate control??? ....its been 80s & 90s here in KC , so the under 40 degree thing doesnt apply ....sorry for the novel, just wanted to include that alarm/battery issue & this AC along with my hello 😊 (trying to figure out how to add my acadia car info on "signature" grrrrr)

Welcome to the forum.

I can tell you that many here are not going to bother reading your post. Readability of long posts is greatly desired. Capitalization, punctuation and paragraphs are very helpful and appreciated.

On a 13 year old Acadia that's losing AC charge overnight, it's a safe bet you have a massive refrigerant leak somewhere in the system.

Hopefully your vehicle came with some sort of warranty.
As divot dug states, you have a major issue. It’s not just a matter of adding Freon. If you got a 30 day warranty act quickly and do not let them push you off or delay repairs. If instead you bought as-is, I would find a local shop that specializes in AC work. Good luck.

Thank you both for the reply . I am definitely taking your pointers lol It never even crossed my mind that it could be a major problem. I paid extra for a 6 month (forgot mileage part of it though?) warranty. If it is a major leak, its just finding out if it's covered. Is this a hubdreds $$ or thousands $$ kind of issue? 🫣 Thanks again!
The cost is going to depend on where they find the leak.

If it is behind the dash, the entire dash assembly usually needs to be removed to resolve the leak.

If it's under the hood, it shouldn't be too bad.

Hopefully it's covered by your warranty.
