When my son is listening to DVD or CD on his GM wireless headphones in the back, we can often hear what he's listening to coming through the front speakers very softly, almost like a feedback but without the squealing. it's rather annoying. are we supposed to listen to their music at the same time as ours? anyone have an idea about this?

early 2008 acadia. SLT2, factory installed DVD sytem with 2 wireless headphones.

I looked for the other threads and could not find them, but other people have posted about this same thing. You are definitely not the only one that has seen this.

Does this happen with you listening to the radio only?

Theoretically it's possible depending on the frequencies. Your wireless headphones get their signal from your DVD player via an FM transmitter so it's possible your wireless headphones signals are interfering with your FM listening. They don't have to be the same frequency!

Try changing the frequency on your unit. If it's happending when you listen to XM or a CD then it is probably something else.

The headrest system has an FM modulator built in. You can select the audio output to be either FM transmitted, or headphones. The headphones have the Dua; channel selections and are infrared, not FM transmitted. So changing FM stations should not be the issue.
