After driving for a bit my wife’s car goes into limp mode and throws a few check engine codes, we purchased the car with starting iasues, so had the ECU replaced and then once that was replaced had issues with motor knocking, so we got a used motor and put it in, runs fine but now has all these check lights and we’ve replaced all then issues that we keep getting, so my question is, does the ECU need to be reset? Or is there something else in missing? Thanks!

I wanna say it came with like a 90 day warranty, but it’s probably past that now or dang near close… my father in now has been working on it and finally gave up and now I got it and just trying to see where to even start..

How many miles on the Used engine? I would ask, if unknown, then maybe check, Timing Chain. The Lambda Platform only has/had 130K warranty on the Timing Chain.

That’s wild that you say that!!! I Brought it to the dealer a few days ago to have them check the codes and sure enough they had to program the ECM but also said they the timing needs to be diagnosed… and the place we got motor from said it had 124k.
