2016 Acadia with Led DRL’s and Halogen headlights
DRL just went out. Since incorporated into headlight assy it would appear the entire assy has to be replaced ($500 each)
However I watched a vid of a guy replacing just the “ballast?” On a similar 2012 Denali. I assume it’s a power module for the Led, not a ballast, on the bottom of the headlight housing. ?
Anyone purchase and replace just the module?

That 'ballast' in the video is likely the igniter for HID headlights. 2012 Acadias have a totally different headlight setup.

I did with no luck yet. They changed the headlight/drl configuration too often over those couple years

Unfortunately, I have never used such LED lighting. In general, I have always wanted to buy something like this. The colored lighting calms me down and gives extra motivation for work. That is why I replaced all my light bulbs in the house with LED ones from https://www.vont.com/product/vont-bulb-color-smart-light-bulbs-smart-bulbs/. Btw, you should contact qualified specialists in the field of mechanics. I think it is not the best idea to repair yourself. This way, you can break some important parts after all.
