My boys knocked into the door on the passenger side with a big wheel type bike leaving three small grey marks about a half inch long each. I am not sure if it's the grey from the big wheel or grey from the paint being chipped off and not sure what to buff it with to check. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! :angryfire: :'(

Punish the kids....forever!!!!!

Run your nailover the area.If your fingernail catches that means it is chipped/scratched. I would get some good touch up paint.

If it is just a scuff markthen somebug&tar remover might remove it or a quick polish. If you have a DA polisher that would definatley do the trick.

Rubbing compound works as well. My dad scuffed our car with a snow shovel and rubbing compound took it off right away.

Personally, i would never use rubbing compound on a clearcoat finish. Mequiars or 3M make excellent compounds for this purpose. Some can be applied by hand while others require a buffer. Rubbing compound is very abrasive and can leave scratches in the finish.
