ok heres what happend. i get in the acadia this morning and everything is normal. get back in about 230 p.m. and the temp is higher than usual about 235-240 is this any thing to worry about or do i need more coolent or am i stressing it to hard with the ac on and driving. The only reason i bring this to a concern is because the yukon never got above 210 and didn't even today after i traded cars because i was worried. sitting in traffic with the ac on high didn't budge the yukons thermostat. Also the Ac never really got that cold in the acadia. is there somthing wrong with the coolent system or is it normal and i am crazy. thanks

I had a similar experience about 3 weeks ago.
The temperature climbed here to 94 and I was in heavy traffic with the ac on and the temp went up to 240 and was still rising.

Turned out the Acadia needed engine coolant.

I rechecked the coolant this AM, and it went down a bit.

This concerns me as it really shouldnt have to be added every few weeks.
