I just ordered the Lund Interceptor II from JC Whitney. Installs easily and looks good(if you like hood deflectors). One small problem...the hood won't close completely with it installed. I contacted Lund and they responded with "you might need to adjust your hood". Nice try.

So has anyone found one that actually fits the Acadia? I haven't seen a GMC version on the GM accessory sites that I've checked.

Thanks.

I have a Lund on my Ford Explorer -- and it makes a tremendous difference --
I'll be interested to see if you get it resolved as I will be picking up
and Enclave soon --

where is the problem -- sides?

My dealer wont sell them as they have heard 1)they don't fit right (not allowing the hood to close) and 2) some who have put them on reported damage to the hood and paint. Most of the time they could not get them to stay on and when they came off it caused the damage. I thought about one but now wont.

I guess that makes sense then. This one actually mounted fairly securely with 4 screws, or at least it seemed to be. Back to JC Whitney it goes. It's disappointing because I've installed them on my last 3 leased vehicles and they really cut down on the paint chips.

How about a clear bra, or other similar transparent film to protect the hood?

I've done this on several cars and had good luck.

There are posts on this forum discussing it.

Good luck with the return, and finding something you like.
