Has anyone else noticed a high pitched noise for about 10-15 seconds AFTER the ignition is turned off? The sound can be heard on the outside. Took it to the dealer, but couldn't find any reason from GM as to why the sound is there. Any help would be appreciated since I have to drive 35 miles to the dealer! :-\

Use the search feature -- this has been addressed in several threads already
Alright smart guy, I used the search function and only came up with this thread. Can someone help me find the other ones, or perhaps take 30 seconds to explain what the noise is?

I've wondered about this too, but did not turn up anything in the search feature.

Thanks. As other posters mentioned, I only notice it when I park in the garage, not in the lot at work or at the store. Not really a bother, just a curiosity. I assume it regulates something for a few seconds after the car powers down. Thanks again, Erik

I first noticed this today when parking in the garage. I thought it was the disarm tone on the house's alarm. :D
