Hello....
I am writing today in a desperate attempt to find answers or a solution to a major disaster in my family’s life regarding our 2011 GMC Acadia Denali that suddenly broke down with timing chain issues amd possibly causing the engine itself to need replaced . I haven’t even had this vehicle a year !

My husband and I run a household of nine people and so good to make it day to day . Our vehicle is our only and without it so much is impossible. Work, grocery, doctors appointments, you name it . The everyday life of a full time parent . I have five children of my own and I have taken my niece in a few years ago to raise as my own . My 65 year old uncle also stays in my home and together we are all a team .

I have read many many many complaints and topics regarding either extended warranty replacement for this matter for my particular vehicle , or a possible recall for this repair. I am as a last resort and a worth a shot mentality I am reaching out to someone I hope may know of a way to somehow help my family . My husband and I can not find a repair establishment that will allow a payment plan and I don’t have any other possible option right now to come up with a solution .

The last two weeks in my household have been extremely trying with our dryer, refrigerator, and now car all breaking down . I’m at a loss. My husband and I both work full time jobs, myself in health care focusing on substance abuse and my husband as a trailer technician. We work hard and we come home to our huge family as the reward . Lately the household has been tense and stressful with our financial crisis facing us and i have to try something to change this energy in our home . We pride ourselves in family amd compassion and today I am hoping that this reaches someone who can say they same and may be able to get this into the hands of someone anyone who can help .

Does GMC ever participate in any type of charity repair work for families in my dilemma . If so good for GMC. If not would they consider doing so . I would be more than happy and eager to share the story of kindness with media and throughout all social outlets . Please know that if this is just simply something uou all are unable to help in any way with we completely understand that and know it just wasn’t possible . But if there is any thing at all that could side us or point us to a direction of hope and faith please please reach out to me . My name is Jami and my email is [email protected]. Thank you for your time and attention. God bless .

Jami, I have never heard of a dealer or manufacturer helping with charity work, but many churches do. I know our auto parts store has donated parts at little or no cost to help out our local churches. One Saturday a month a bunch of local mechanics would spend their Saturday helping repair cars for people for free. You might check out that route.

No one here can answer for GMC. You'll have to contact them yourself by email and ask for their help. GMC reps will not respond to your inquiry on this forum.

Wow ! That is uplifting to hear. Thank you for that advice and for what you do for others . Your knowledge and skills make someone’s life a little less of a struggle and a little more time to notice the blessings ...
