Wow, talk about not solving the problem. Looks like the TSB was issued in 2018 and GM is STILL adding model years and engine variants to the list — for a problem (albeit very rare) spanning from 2007.

That's not too good for quality control.
Its just not GM, if you read the weekly NHSTA bulletin its all companies, including the vehicles that sell for 200-500K.

A friend of mine just had the engine in his 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport replaced at 89K miles.

It turns out that there is a recall (finally after litigation) on 2011 to 2014(+) Hyundai 2.0L and 2.4L GDI engines.
My friends just died on the way home from a trip. It turns out that many of these engines had casting debris that blocked oil passages and/or some other defects.

At least they handled it but apparently up to 1.6 millions vehicles or more affected. They now have a 10 year 120K mile warranty. And even the replacement engines have and extended warranty.
