....March edition of Motor Trend has some detailed advertisment pages as well (along with other GMC models). I wonder why GM hasn't flood the TV and Radio stations like Toyota and others do.

Why flood the market when you are selling almost all that are on the showroom floor? I have not seen an Acadia or Outlook on the lot for more than a week. Once sales slow down you will see a more agressive marketing campaign...

I've seen commercials for both the Acadia and Outlook several times. In fact, here's one of them...

and the 60 second version...

I finally saw the Acadia ad on TV a couple of nights ago. It was on the Discovery Channel. GM is sponsoring a series called "Future Cars."

I saw a local "bus wrap" ad for the Outlook on a transit bus here (Salt Lake City) yesterday.

Well I haven't seen any Acadias on the road yet. I am seeing many new MDXs around my neighborhood but no Acadias yet. So far I have seen only one parked at JFK last month.

They need to speed up the production.... ;D

I haven't seen any Acadias or Outlooks on the road. I have seen a few of the new MDXs. I liked my 02 MDX, but I am not a fan of the new design.

Im in the northwest suburbs of Chi-Town and the only one I have seen on the rode, is my wifes....we have it just a few days now, 140 miles, but love it. We picked it up Monday evening and then it snowed the next day, 3-4 inches...but, I have seen none.

kjf, agreed. They took a very nice looking suv and ruined it IMO. I'm wondering if Acrua sales will suffer because of that or if we're in the minority on opinions of the new design. I saw one up close inside and out at the auto show a few weeks ago. Only seen one on the road since then..

SAF_ALG - congrats! How do you like it so far? When you can, try to post some pics of your new Acadia. We'd love to see it!

I think the new Acura is a waste. The older model was more thoughtful than the latest one. The newer is smaller and has less leg room in its third row, that one is off the list now. The four remaing are

Acadia
Enclave
Audi Q7
'08 Pilot (if it is out by summer this year)

Will see which one gets our money when the time comes. ;D

We looked closely at the Pilot when we bought the MDX, and again when we ordered an Acadia. The problem for us was the third row seat. Honda designed it for three passengers, with three sets of seat belts. The placement of the seat belts and bolstering makes the three positions very narrow - too narrow for anyone but small children. My teenagers don't mind the third row in my MDX (which is set up for two passengers), but hated the Pilot third row. :( They loved the Acadia third row. :D

A new Acadia ad is on You Tube (apparently aired during the Golden Globes): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZp-AFXHCls

I know one Acura MDX customer that was lost because of the Acadia--me.

I went to replace my wife's 5 year old MDX with a new one--$47K and no deals (new car--we don't have to deal)--in fact, they were adding "stuff" to make it even more expensive, like pin strips, and etched glass. I found the Acadia in plastic on the back lot of the local GMC dealer and went home a found info on the internet--drove it the next day and ordered one on the spot--got wife's OK AFTER ordering--had to make 2 changes--color and sunroof. Sold the 2002 MDX to neighbor without even advertizing--says he wants the Acadia when we sell it in 4-5 years.

Congrats. Hope I can sell my 2002 MDX that easily when my Acadia comes.

Where is Acadia on TV? I am seeing more and more Mazda CX-9 (almost every 5-10 mins) [cool looking too] but still no Acadias on TV yet.

I went outside to pick up the newspaper this morning. It generally comes in a plastic bag type of wrapper. Today's was printed with an Acadia ad!

They are coming up with all sorts of unconventional advertising campaigns for the Acadia, almost in lieu of traditional advertising routes like standard television spots. Newspaper wraps, TV giveaways, coffee warmers, parking lot stubs, etc. I wonder if it's working...

(still seems like almost nobody has heard of these yet)
