Just wanted to know what others felt about the removable tray inside the center console.
Other than holding a little change, it seems fairly useless to me. Especially since the compartment underneath is a much larger area, it seems the tray could have been made a few inches deeper.
I've tried to throw a couple small items inside, but the sliding door won't close. UUUGH!

Does anyone know if there is anything made to replace this?

I would have to agree. It serves a purpose, but it would be more useful if it were deeper. The change portion could've used another slot for pennies, and even two larger ones for loonies and twonies for us Canadians!

My wife misses the deep center console in her Expedition. She also noted that the cupholders were smaller in the Acadia.

It actually works well for us. We keep change, pens and sunglasses in the shallow tray and stuff we don't need so often down below.

What I don't like is that I have to slide the arm rest back to access the tray.

I like it, I keep gum in it and the coin holder holds more coin than in my Yukon. I put crap in the well that I don't need as often.
