I have a 2008 and the alternator went bad and I had a hard time changing it but got it done, THEN when attempting to reinstall the serpentine belt the darn tension pully assembly snapped. It looks like I am going to have to raise the engine to get to it, after fighting with the 6inch long idler/alternator bolt. any suggestions?

There's a link to download the factory service manual in reply 10 of the thread posted to you previously. Any info for the task at hand should be near identical.

Can you post pictures? Are you talking about one of those flimsy pot-metal brackets that the alternator mounts to (and maybe the Tensioner, too)? I had one crack in half on me once in my Impala. Had to buy a new one at the dealer. Good news was ... less than $40.
