Does anyone find that the back up lights are not bright enough and is there anything that can be done?

Might see if Silverstar makes a replacement bulb. They would be quite a bit brighter than the stock bulb. Hoens is also a brand that would be brighter if you could find one.

How do you get at the backup lights?

No instructions in the manual ... only states to contact dealer.

I actually find this irresponsible and pathetic on GM's part. Speaking strictly from a safety standpoint, bulb replacement should be something the owner can do. There is no good reason to make bulbs a dealer only serviceable item.

I couldn't agree more. After paying a bundle for a new vehicle, they want to make sure they get every last cent out of the customer by charging $100 an hour to change a light bulb. :angryfire:
