Hi everyone,
We have 59,700 miles on our Acadia and I have been hearing a whistling noise at 50-52 mph on light throttle and off throttle. Brought it into the dealership this week and they hear it too. The plan is to order a new rear axle, and as you can see from the mileage we are just before the end of the powertrain warranty. Always scary replacing a part like that, so wondering has anyone else had any issues in this new C1 generation of Acadia with the rear axle? Checked the forum but didn’t see anything.
Incidentally, the only other issue we have had with this vehicle is the squeaking brakes (an awful noise the dealership has tried to resolve multiple times with brake pad spray) and warped rotors at 55k. Thanks to the forum member Tinker who found the service bulletin we now have these new rear pads ordered (the part is on national backorder) that hopefully will fix the issue. I don’t know how to link to the thread, but it was titled “2018 Brake Noise”.
