Hi, I have a 2007 Acadia, and have been using it to pull a horse trailer with great success. However, about a month ago, the drive shaft actually fell off of the car. We gave it to the dealer thinking the problem had to do with the stress coming from pulling the horse trailer, but, to our surprise, we were told that this was becoming a nationwide problem. Is this true? Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks :thumb:

ETA: Oops, hopefully it's obvious that I not all that knowledgeable on the subject of car parts. I meant drive shaft ;)

Re: Anyone else have problems with the drivers shaft?

A few Viagra jokes popped into my mind when I read the subject/poll question

I think you mean Drive Shaft Problems.

I to have read other threads on the topic - I think it has to do with the Propeller Bolt service bulletin 07417

Also, see this thread, someone else had the Drive Shaft disconnect http://www.acadiaforum.net/forum/index.php?topic=2256.msg32368#msg32368

I have to assumne you have the AWD model since the FWD does not have a drive shaft, the trasverse transmission is directly connected to the front wheel axles.
