I have just installed the dealer drop down DVD player in a 2007. The DVD is not designed to play through the vehicle sound system. Has anybody come up with a solution to connect the audio to the radio system, even plugging into the ipod jack on the radio?

Thanks

Does it have wireless headphones, built-in jacks to plug in wired headphones, and does the manual say anything about a "built in FM Modulator"(or FM transmsmitter)? It may have all three. If it has a FM Transmitter and you can determine what FM channel it is broadcasting on, you simply tune your FM radio to that frequequency and listen over your speakers. It may be static-ey if there is a strong FM station nearby and you will have to change the frequency to something not used (which changes as your drive down the road). Aternately, if it has a wire head phone jack and your factor radio has the same jack, set it to aux in, purchase a double male 1/8" mini stereo cable and plug it into the radio for better sound. Since this is not truely a "line out" from your DVD, be carefull to not turn the DVDs volume up too high or you will overload the pre-amp input on the radio. In non-geek speak, don't turn up the DVD too high or it wil sound distorted. Good luck
