With the 3rd row down we're trying to make as much storage room as we can for a cross-country trip. There is about 8 inches of track left in front of the seats when they are fully pushed forward. I know that forward section of the track is used for the easy-exit fold, but it would be nice if I could push the seats forward all the way to the front of the track when they are upright. We are going to be hauling our small (20 lb) dog with us and he would feel even more secure if the seats would slide fully to the front of the tracks while upright. Incidentally, we have a perfect-size plastic storage box that fits between the chairs at seat height, so he can move about between seats and get at least a little exercise. Having him use only one chair would be too cramping for him.

Bottom line: although what I am trying to do (moving the upright seats fully forward) is probably not doable, I thought I would ask anyway. You people have come up with some great solutions in many areas.

Thanks

I don't think it's possible due to safety reasons.
