Hi all, I got too vigorous in trying to close my liftgate and broke the driver side power actuator off at the connector. Anyone have a guide on how to replace the actuator, I have a new one ordered but can't find instructions anywhere?

Hello . . ..
The only thing I can offer is a pretty good video on how to replace it on a Chevrolet Equinox.
The way these hydraulic lift gate power struts operate has not changed much since this video and pretty much the same across all GM brands and quite a few years.
So, the removal of panels may be similar also, but perhaps not as complicated as the video.
There is a recalibrate procedure I beleive that also much be done after the replacement, and their is a way to do that. Perhaps search for a related video on a Traverse, Buick Enclave or GMC Terrain.

Thanks, it actually wasn't too bad to swap. I ordered the other side to replace and I'm waiting on that but my door is still off so I fear I bent it somehow.

@Scooter83 : What actually broke? Where the Strut connects? I hope you didn’t have to go through everything detailed in that Equinox video! That just went on and on … pulling panels from bottom to top, stringing cables, digging out a buried Liftgate Control Module. Probably an $800 job at the Dealer!

Nah, had to pop out the bottom and left part of the panel to get access to the strut. Yeah it broke at the connector, once I got access it was an easy swap. 30 minutes tops to do.
