This thing has been a nightmare. Starting up it sputters and sometimes shuts off.
Also motor is BRAND NEW from GM. It’s throwing a misfire code for cylinder 3&5.

Parts replaced so far
New MAF
New Throttle body
New Evap sensor
New plugs
New Fuel pump
New Injector for cylinder 5.

im out of ideas.. could it be a bad catalytic converter or possibly the ECM?

How new is brand new? Was it dealer installed? A new GM engine usually comes with a warranty.

As new as 0 miles. Wasn’t dealer installed. 4 year unlimited mileage on the warranty.
Who installed it? First guess is they missed something. Other options include pre-existing condition (were there any, applicable codes if so?), faulty motor (extremely unlikely IMO).
Go back to whoever installed it. Or was that you?

Are you issues since the install or was there a period of time where it ran fine after the install?

OP, this ... and what were the problems that made you buy a new motor? Gotta stop throwing things at it. Retrace your steps, seems you missed something.
