I got a postcard in the mail stating that it was time for my Acadia's 10,000 mile service. But I'm curious, why didn't I get a notice from OnStar this month? I am over the 10k mark, but shouldn't OnStar tell me about the need for service? Was this just a promo from the dealer?

If I do need a 10k mile service, a couple questions.

1) How much will it cost? I'm off work tomorrow and thinking about taking it in, but it's not the best time of year to be dropping a couple hundred dollars.

2) Can I take it to a Chevrolet dealership?

Thanks,
Ryan

Mine's over 15K miles already and I never received a notice about a 10K mile service, or a 15K mile service for that matter.

Maybe your dealership is just trying to make an extra buck.

Thats what I'm thinking Web Raven, I just wanted to make sure. I believe I heard in order to keep the warranty valid we have to perform all the schedule maintenance.

Sounds like your dealership. Mine goes in every 3000 miles which would be at 9 or 12000. Usually an oil change and inspecting fluids, etc every 6000.
