2017 rear wiper blade replacement

Has anyone had an issue changing the rear wiper blade on their 2017+ Acadia? My first attempt, I couldn't get the blade to release, and just slid out and replace the rubber. Six months later, I go to Advanced Auto and have them attempt to put a Trico 12" one on. They fight with it for 10 minutes, and finally get it switched out, but it makes a clunking sound when I use it. Upon inspection, I see that it is loose, and I can't get the clip to lock in place. I go to another parts store and purchase a 12" Anco and install it myself. The blade appears to lock in, but after a few passes, the end of the blade becomes hung up in the metal shroud covering the arm, almost like it is too long. Should I be using a 10" blade? The manual calls for 11.8 or something odd. What has been your experience?

Get the correct wiper blade (GM 23299093) either online or at your dealer, try installing it per manual instructions, then come back here to post the result.

I just got the dealer blade.

Then I removed the cover at the pivot point then removed the nut and pulled the arm. This makes it much easier to remove the blade.

Just put a piece of tape on the glass to show where the blade was on the spline.

Not difficult to do. If you do not remove the arm you will drive yourself nuts trying to remove it.

Having done mine recently I would agree with this 100%!
