My Acadia started rattling a couple weeks ago, turns out it was the L/F Swaybar link.  Seems awful new for this to go bad already.

Can either of you be more descriptive in regards to the rattle?  I have a dull thumping noise coming from the right front (passenger side).  It sounds almost like the tire is bouncing on the pavement.  The dealer checked the suspension, but said all was good.  They attribute the noise to the tires which it could very well be.  I've noticed my Goodyears producing more road noise as they get miles on them (I have about 37k miles on them now).  I can't wait to kick this tires to the curb.  They are the worst tires I've ever had.

Mine was kind of a muted metallic thump when you would hit a decent bump while turning and the suspension would compress/release. Diagnosed as worn tie rod bushings.  However, it still does it every once in a while so that may not be the actual problem.

It sounds like a really light rattle.  Most noticeable when driving at slower speeds over small bumps or imperfections.  The part itself looks a lot like a tie rod end and the ball is loose in the socket.

Got it replaced Saturday, took less than a 1/2 hour.  My Acadia was parked right next to another that had the whole engine/tranny assy out.  Looked like they were replacing the transmission.  It was a sad sight.

Just had both front swaybar end links replaced at 18K miles. I had the tech ride with me since the rattleing/creaking noise was somewhat obscure. It took him less than a block of travel over normal to slightly undulating road surface to say he knew what the problem was.

Hi Everyone,

I have an 07 that makes a clunking noise when the vehicle is rocked side to side.  I can stand and push on the top of the Acadia and rock it from side to side and hear this loud clunk coming out of the wheel well area.  Almost sounds like it's coming from just behind the drivers wheel.

Is this similar to your experiences?  When driving the clunking only happens at low speeds and going over small bumps.  Very noticable when cabin noise is minimal.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I had the same problem with my 08.  I had to have the front sway bar links replaced.  I have over 60,000 miles so it wasn't covered under warranty.  rides great now.  thumbs up

I am having this same or similar problem with mine know at 44k miles. How much can I expect to pay to have the Front Sway Bar links replaced?

250. Just had mine done this week and paid100 with extended warranty. Looks like it's a common weakness. But the ride is amazing after replacement.

I actually have not seen many post on the sway bar endlinks on the Lambdas....
On the Envoy/Trailblazer/Ascender/Rainier forum- there was ALOT of posts on the endlinks going out early.
I replaced the endlinks on my 03 Trailblazer at about 133,000 I think. They made noise when you hit a speed bump or driveway.
Bought AC DELCO parts and put them on myself. Quite easy... though rustbelt owners complained they had to saw off the rusted bolts etc...
I simply had to undo the nut. (California).
But you should take a look at your endlink location-- and determine whether this is an install you can do yourself.

There are several strings about this on the forum.

just looked at my pics.
definitely something I would change... it appears to be the big long endlink. shown in the pic-
the nut/bolt appears to be very easy to get to...

yup- 1 part fits both sides.
gmpartsdirect shows the part is $28.49 each. (shipping extra). so you should be able to get both at local auto parts I think.

Item 5 is the endlink.

These are pics in my 'archive'.  Whenever I do something to car I take pics-- as I know Ill probably use the pics in the future.
The pics above I must have taken when I performed a tire rotation.
So yes I took tire off--- but no didnt take it off- just for this thread...

the pics above are for my 2010. unless the 08-09s 11-12s are diff.  But I doubt design has changed...

the endlinks are available on Amazon. Moog part.
Moog K750155 Sway Bar Link kit   (note that I cant tell if its 1 endlink or 2)- though it is a 'kit' so that would mean its 2?
$31.65  with free shipping.

Mine began as a rattle and gradually got worse. They changed both according to the work papers
