Bobby,

I turned a few wrenches and wrote a bunch of service orders, too.  The best advice I can give is:

Do the regular maintenance (whatever interval you use there is no such thing as too often, only too late)

Check things out between maintenance periods (fluid levels, tire pressures, etc.) and

If it's not broke, don't try to fix it (you might just break something else and find yourelf in a real pickle)

Good advice; although I don't think running a fuel injector cleaner is violating the "if it's not broke, don't fix it" clause

if your injectors are clogged, they can be cleaned with pressurized solvent, or removed for off-car cleaning. There are also fuel tank additives that claim to clean clogged fuel injector but the cleaning such products do is usually minimal. So save your money and put it towards a professional cleaning.

GM actually recommends that you NOT use those aftermarket injector cleaning machines... at least last I read...

THey do- recommend you use their FUel system/Fuel injector cleaner- or top end cleaner.
the GM fuel injector cleaner--- is actually Techron Concentrate.

So it wont hurt to every 10-15000 miles- run a bottle of techron....

Ill see if I can locate the info on not using those machines
