Ew.  I hope they don't make a "chick truck" out of our dear Lambdas.

Of course, that's just my humble opinion.  Smiley

I really like the faired-in running board, very clean.  Somebody should get that one on the market.  Not nearly so clunky and inappropriate as the factory running board, and it would also help conceal all the bits and pieces that are currently visible from the side, such as the exhaust, etcetera.

Other than that, I don't see the point in it.

They could have the third row seats outside -- like an old time 'rumble seat'!  Load 'em up daddyO!

GM needs to come up with completely new ideas.  Things like this just seem to turn people off.  Bring us more vehicles like the new Malibu, Cadillac CTS, Saturn/Opel Astra, etc.  This will make GM stronger.  Why do they feel the need to shoot themselves in the foot with foolishness like that in the photo.  Just my opinion.

While I agree that GM sometimes creates vehicles that turn people off, this is not a GM produced rendering. It's from the GMInsidenews website- RIA (Revitalization In Action). Some of the contributors and moderators have spent a great deal of time coming up with what they think the design direction should be. Some of the ideas can be a bit out there and some of the ideas are spot on.
They just completed a Chevy section. The following link has the Chevy section and links to other brands within GM:
