I just got a 2011 Acadia SLE with manual AC and am hoping that there is an update soon as to harness availability.  I haven't looked behind the panels, but reading the last few posts I think I know what I would find.

OK, got the buttons #15251881, & harness #88988747 from GM parts direct.

Looking at old photos looks like 2 wires connect below for lights, 3 go to cluster connector. But
all 5 wires are white? Not sure where they go, need a wiring diagram.

I have a 2011 GMC Acadia SLE-2.  I love the vehicle except the fact there is no DIC (which is now standard in all 2012 Acadia Models Sad

My question is can I have the enhanced DIC installed easily?

I have the base stereo and Manual single zone front climate control?  My dash does not have the blank where the DIC buttons would go, so I was wondering if I purchased another center bezel with the blank if that would work and do I have the harness needed to hook up to the DIC?

Thanks

Not standard in all 2012 Acadia models. I have an SLE-2 with the upgraded automatic climate controls, RSE, and DVD package and I DO NOT have the DIC.

Sorry, but in the brochure I have for 2012, it has the enhanced DIC is standard in all models.  Maybe GM Canada is slightly different model wise.

Perhaps that is true... I couldn't even get a brochure for a 2012 here before I purchased.

Something I learned, brochure is not always right.  When I purchased my 2009 Acadia AWD SLE, the brochure stated heated mirrors standard.  Winter came I found out that wasn't true.

bummer....my husband just pulled off the center console and no harness is there for the DIC.  (We have the SLE-2  with base stereo and Manual single zone front climate control)

I do have the Scanguage II and while that gives me knowledge of my fuel economy, it's not accurate.  The km's driven that the Scanguage has logged is always lower than the actual trip km's on the acadia.

now thats interesting- because its just hooked up to the OBD port right?

Ive ran comparisons with my laptop and the DIC- and they were very close to each other...

heres a screen shot of my laptop screen-- and I also posted what the DIC showed.
fairly close numbers.

Yes, mine is hooked up the OBD port.  The Acadia will say I drove 345 KM and the Scanguage will have 341 KM.  The more KM I drive, the bigger the difference between the two.

Just noticed you are listing KM's rather then miles... are you in Canada? My Canadian model 2012 did not have the DIC installed in it. I'm trying to add it myself but have not found the time yet to go digging around behind the dash.

I do live in Canada, the specifications online for the 2012 indicated all models had the EDIC.  It wasn't until I saw the 2012 brochure that I saw it was broken down and the EDIC isn't standard until the SLT model.  I have the SLE-2 with  the manual climate control and do not have the harness in the back for the DIC buttons.

I have attached the connector diagrams and the wiring diagram for the 2011 Acadia EDIC. I just purchased my 2012 last week and have been glued to alldata and gmpartsdirect since.

Thanks for the part numbers for the harness I've searched all over. Hope this helps!

I'm also researching what it will take to install the HUD unit. I've found all the pieces except wiring. I haven't torn the dash apart to see if the harness is integrated.

I have added a gallery album Drivers Information Center  and placed the files in there for viewing. Hopefully this will work.

I am still investigating the POSSIBILITY. I do not just go out and purchase items unless I know its possible to obtain the final result I'm after. Btw Corvette guys install the HUD in non HUD vehicles with stock non HUD glass with success. Display is visible too.

try the album Drivers Information Center for Illusions I placed the files there. If this does not work PM me and I will send via email. I have access to all the wiring diagrams for our vehicles

Not questioning whether or not it will work - only if you want to suffer from "double-vision" if you don't use the right glass.

that's mainly the only thing keeping me from doing it right now. I might have to wait until I find a truck full of bricks and follow him down a bumpy road. Pow... new windshield, problem solved. j/k

some spare time to complete. Maybe next weekend, I will take photos & hopefully it will work.
