Hello. My wife & I test drove an Acadia last night. We are looking to get a bigger car/truck as our boys are getting older.. Probably like most people in our situation, we also looked at the Explorer (Too small) and Durango (Ugly as sin, but Hemi was pretty cool). So it looks like the GMC for us. Before we went, I looked at the Acadia online to see the difference between the '13 & '14. The only difference I could see was the lane departure and collision warning & UBS port. When we arrived at the dealer, all they had were 2013's. We looked at it, drove it and to my surprise, it had a UBS port in the storage compartment on the dash. So if someone could shed some light on this, it would be great... Thanks in advance....

The 2013 and 2014 both have the USB port for connecting a phone or media player in the compartment on top of the dash.  The 2014's have additional USB ports for charging only on the rear of the center console.  Otherwise, the changes are the Land Departure and Collision warning you described.  The GM customer service represented posted that some previously  optional features are becoming standard on the SLE I believe.

I too have been comparing the 2013 vs 2014 as well.  I've been looking at the pricing differences as well and there is not a lot of incentive to buy a 2013 which will depreciate a lot faster.  There is currently a $1500 rebate on the 20013 and $500 rebate for the 2014.  The price of the 2013 is not discounted enough to motivate me to buy it.  I will probably go with a 2014 SLT-1 w/NAV and RES.

Hi dirk109!

You are correct in stating the new Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure Warning.  Concerning the USB port, there is an additional port on the rear of the console.  If you have any other questions, feel free to let me know!

Smiley  Dirk, must comment on your comparison between 13 and 14 Denali, just bought 1 3 days ago. Mine was bought after three weeks of research of competitors, including consumer reports where it is a recommended SUV.  Suggest u pull up the 2014 manual for the Denali or get 1 at the Dealer.  Mine didn't have 1 but u need to compare it to the 2013. It is on line with some searching, think it just came out. They have added Voice command to Voice screen navigation, 8 additions to the safety features,  Dealer said there was no difference but he has about 20 2013 on the lot and wanting $2500 less for them than the 2014.
I traded a 2010 Explorer my 3rd. one but I just came back from a 1800 mile trip 1 way, took the kids and it was 1 uncomfortable ride.  Does not have all the features in the Denali.
MSRP I think about $5000.00 lower in my area.  Mine is fully loaded with the rear seat entertainment, power door locks, color touch navigation.  All you need in TX.  Love driving it and it remembers seat positions and adjusts automatically when you sit down.  Also really like the MPH showing in the windshield (keep your eyes on the road). Think I counted 8 drink holders.

I am going to enjoy being able to have someone sit on 1 side of 3rd row seat fold down other and lay down on a trip.

Like I told a friend has everything but a john.
