One day after my transmission was taken out for torque converter replacement and 3-5-R wave plate, the A/C stopped cooling but blowing hot air.
My question is: Does any of the A/C system gets removed when pulling the under engine parts to reach and remove the transmission? I am wondering if the A/C problem is related to the transmission removal and installation.  Huh?

The normal procedure to repairing the transmission involves dropping the front cradle that has the engine and transmission.  The A/C and cooling systems have to be disconnected to do this and thus recharged when putting everything back together.  Some technicians, like the one that did my trans repair, managed to pull off the transmission without dropping the engine too, allowing the A/C and cooling systems to remain connected.  So to answer your question, yes, your A/C MAY be related to the transmission repair, but it's not 100% a sure thing.
