I managed to find time to install the GM LOCKPICK I received from tvandnav2go yesterday. It works just as they said it would. What a difference, I no longer have to pull over to input address info. into the nav system. It is the same system that coastaletech offers but it has been configured to work with the Acadia. After looking at this unit and the one from coastaletech, I can't tell the difference and it operates in the same manner. To display the DVD on the nav screen when in drive, press the steering wheel mute button 4 times within 5 seconds and the system switches the nav to video. To undo press the mute button once. To unlock the nav address entry/xm categories scrolling, press the window lockout button 4 times within 6 seconds. To undo press the window lockout button once.

In one of my earlier post, I mentioned that the device has two video inputs. I stand corrected, there is only one video input which can be used for a camera. You will have to get the nav system re-flashed (programmed for camera) by the dealer in order for the camera to work. I wouldn't count on that happening. I will post pictures, video and a detailed analysis later tonight. As it stands right now, I'm giving it 4 thumbs up. Total cost including shipping was $290.

Ordering at lunchtime today and waiting for the pictures and video as well.

Was it hard to pop the chrome molding from around the radio?

It wasn't hard at all. I will use arrows in photo to point to the area where the clips are. It's important to pop the center console/dash loose nearest the clips to avoid breaking the plastic. Your order should arrive in 1 day. I placed my order through Kim (arrives after 12pm) and she shipped it the same day. They are based out of Brooklyn, NY.

OK.

I did it.

I ordered it.  Typical Brooklyn/NY shadiness though.

She was going to charge me $299 plus tax (b/c im in NY) + shipping.  I told her she was nuts that I know someone who bout it for $290 shipped to WV.  Iunderstand the tax part, I wasn;t arguing that.  She put me on hold.

Final price..$275 (inc shipping) + 23.03 in tax = 298.03 Cheers

Little weary about the shdainees of the business practice but as long as it works...whatever.

She probably realized the ground shipping was going to be about $5 and figured it wasn;t worth losing a customer.  Probably will try and install this weekend if I get a chance.  Hope those photos and video are up wink thumbs up

I emailed them and Dominic just quoted me $250 for the unit, i am in NJ.  Does anyone know if this un-blocks the onstar dialing and interface to the handsfree for hooking up an aftermarket bluetooth unit?

Congrats! I will do my best to get the photos and video up tonight. Video may take another day since I need to break it down into smaller segments.

It does not un-block the onstar dialing & interface. You will have to wait until tvandnav2go update their device or wait for coastaletech to configure their GM LOCKPICK GEN 3 to work with the Acadia.

I know i said WV before but that is the first thing that pops in my head when I think Virginia.  OOpps.

Sorry for the delay, I had outpatient surgery on my neck and just wasn't feeling up to posting the other day. I have videos of the installation that's uploading as I speak. I was in a little pain while doing the video so you will have to excuse me if you hear me grunting throughout the videos (7). Will post pictures later.

Give it another try now. I apologize for the error you're getting, I had to reduce the video to less than 10 MB in order for file to be viewable. In the process of doing so I lost some video quality. I am in the process of compressing the last 2 videos.

I updated the link and verified that it worked. Give it one more try. However, I still have 3 videos pending upload. The console removal video and photos will not be upload until later tonight.
